I’m a Machine Learning + Advanced Hardware Research Scientist at Dell AI Research as part of the Office of the Global CTO. I’m also an external researcher with the RL + Vision Lab at MILA advised with Professor Samira Ebhrahimi Kahou. Prior I was a Bay State Fellow masters student in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts where I was fortunate to be advised by Professor Bruno Castro da Silva and Professor Eliot Moss. I was also a member of the BiNDS Lab where I am fortunate to work with Professor Hava Siegelmann on temporal aspects of machine intelligence. In a past life I completed my undergraduate at UMass Amherst with a double degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering where I was awarded the CICS Outstanding Undergraduate Award and ECE Award of Excellence for each respective degree. I led my undergrad ECE senior design project and received an honorable mention for it.

My goal is to create AI systems that can make good decisions in complex, dynamic, and uncertain environments using broadly intelligent behaviors. Intelligent behaviors are a combination of varying fields—including representation learning, decision-making, sensing, and planning—with the key challenge lying in the safe, effective, and transferable combination of these different areas. My research areas are in reinforcement learning and machine learning, and I currently work in Hierarchical and Model-Based RL, Multi-Agent RL, Representation Learning, and Neuroscience-Inspired ML as a first foundational step to this long term goal.
